Students from the Fallibroome Trust and Learning Community Schools enjoyed a fantastic week of creativity focused on the challenges of climate change.

The schools’ arts and performing arts teachers created opportunities for students to develop their knowledge in a series of lessons and workshops, culminated in a marvellous evening of performances from every school.

The audience of parents and staff was deeply impressed by the spirit of collaboration and partnership evident across our family of schools, highlighted by the creation of a combined choir to sing the Global Warriors’ song composed by Fallibroome’s Head of Music Christine Mortimer.

It was great to see pupils from years 3 to year 9 developing skills of cooperation and teamwork, exemplified by a dance created by students from the Winsford and Fallibroome Academies. The impressive show was closed by a moving request to support the orangutan appeal from class 1/2 at Broken Cross.

In his closing address Mr Power thanked Mr Hogden for leading the team and emphasised the value of creativity in the school curriculum.

I have no doubt that our pupils’ experience of a memorable week will encourage them, and their parents, to take the small but impactful steps required to create a better future.
